Steps to install MTK VCOM driver on Windows PC:
1. Extract the downloaded zip file using Winrar or Winzip.
2. Right click on the launcher icon and open device manager.
3. In Device Manager, click the first item.
4. Click " Actions > Add Legacy Hardware.
5. In the Add Hardware Wizard window, click Next.
6. Select "Install hardware that I manually selected from the list (Advanced)" and click "Next".
7. Select "Show all devices" and click Next.
8. Now click "Install from disk" and find the extracted folder.
9. select Windows 10 x64 MTK USB Drivers.inf for Windows 64-bit or select Windows 10 x86 MTK USB Drivers.inf for 32-bit Windows.
10. Once selected, press OK. In the "Model" list, select "MTK USB Port" and click Next.
11. If a warning window appears, click Install Driver Anyway.
12. This will install MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port, MTK DA USB VCOM Port, MTK USB Debug Port, MTK USB Modem Port and MTK USB Port.
13. Open Device Manager again and expand Ports (COM and LTP).
14. Right click on the MTK (COM3) USB port and click Uninstall.
15. In the Confirm Device Removal window, clear the Remove driver software for this device check box and click OK.
